Back to monthly

To clear up any confusion — We're back to publishing monthly beginning with the March 2010 issue and for the year. The combined Jan/Feb 2010 issue was a reaction to the difficult economic times. Hopefully, we will not consider that approach for Jan/Feb 2011.

Good question

Spent the last month getting ready for a better year (hopefully). So far, things look better than this time in 2009. But still, getting through these economic times remains not an easy jaunt.

Along those lines, I have to ask: If an antique dealer doesn't pay his or her advertising bills, how reliable is that dealer when it comes to selling what he or she may claim is a quality antique?

Better year ahead

Here's hoping (and expecting) a better year in 2010 for the antiques and collectibles trade.

Smart holiday move

River Market Antiques (Kansas City, MO) is doing what just about every antique mall and shop should be doing during the holiday season — extending their hours.
From Friday, Dec. 18 to Wednesday, Dec. 23, the mall will be open 9 am to 9 pm, then open back up Dec. 26-27, 10 am to 6 pm, and on Dec. 28-30, 9 am to 9 pm. For more information, go to www.rivermarketantiquemall.com.

As they say — can't make a sale if you ain't open.
