Little Dixie's "Slave Cabin Project"


Joseph McGill, African American researcher, historian, preservationist and reenactor will be talking about slave life and the "Slave Cabin Project" in Columbia, Lexington and Pilot Grove, MO, April 18 thru April 23. Joining McGill will be Gary Fuenfhausen, architectural and museum consultant, presenting "Little Cabins: Slave Dwelling Architecture in Missouri's Little Dixie" on April 19. 3:30-6:30 pm, in Pickard Hall Auditorium, University of Missouri, Columbia. Sponsored by Missouri's LIttle Dixie Heritage Foundation with financial support from the Missouri Humanities Council, the events are free and open to the public.
